Photo Guide
Quality and detailed photos of your vehicle can make or break your listing. If you opt to take your own photos, we will require a minimum of 50 detailed photos for each listing.
Find a Great Location
Location, location, location! Local parks, empty parking garages, closed empty roads, there are dozens of possible places to take great photos of your vehicle. We recommend open spaces where you can freely walk around your vehicle to easily capture the shots we are looking for. Take your time to plan your photography so you can find a great location at a time where there won’t be other people or vehicles in the background. Taking photos of your vehicle in a cramped garage or in your driveway are a no-go for us.
Clean Your Vehicle
Take time to remove any and all personal items from your vehicle and thoroughly wash and clean the interior and exterior. You want your vehicle to shine for the photos! You can even take it a step further and opt to have your vehicle professionally detailed by a local or mobile detailer.
Lighting and Shadows
Try to take photos in a location or at a time that provides even lighting. Try to avoid harsh shadows or direct sunlight. The best times to take photos outside are either just after sunrise or just before sunset, the “golden hours”. Also, you can move your vehicle to capture shots in better angles depending on the lighting.
Videos
While they aren’t required, we recommend you submit at least two videos for your listing. One of a cold start and a second of a full walk around and interior tour. You can also submit a driving video as long as you can safely record the video.
Damage
Don’t shy away from damage! Any chips, scrapes, tears, scruffs, and scratches should have individual photos taken. Highlighting these blemishes and imperfections will only help in a more honest and transparent experience when selling your vehicle.
