Account Settings and Functions

After you set up your free account with Mint Motoring, there are a few steps you’ll need to take to finish setting up your account so you can start to submit offers on listings. You can also edit your name, contact information and learn how to answer Q&A questions, and accept, counter, or reject offers below.

Entering a Payment Method

A credit or debit card on file will be required to start submitting offers on listings. Attempting to submit an offer without having a card on file will trigger an error message alerting you to add a payment method.

To add your credit card you will first need to sign into your account, hover over the account settings dropdown, and select the “Settings” option.

From the Settings page you will click the “Payment Method” link and enter your credit or debit card information in the prompted fields.

Editing Your Name

Your profile username will default to your email and you can edit the name displayed on offers, comments, and the Q&A section by hovering over the account settings dropdown, and selecting the “Settings” option.

From here you will go to “Account Details” and edit your display name. You can also include a profile picture, change your first and last name, add a short bio, change your email address, and your password.

Answering Q&A and Comments

The Q&A and Comments section are some of the most important aspects of your listing. Staying on top of questions shows prospective buyers you are attentive and provide valuable information when requested. There may also be other interested buyers with similar questions so answering questions quickly will provide them with answers too.

To access the Q&A section on your listings you will start by hovering over the account settings dropdown and select “Submissions”.

From here you will select “View Lot” on the listings you need to answer questions.

Once you are on your listing, you will scroll to the bottom of the page to the Q&A and Comments section. To answer questions, you will simply click on the questions that do not have an answer and a window will popup with blank space to type your reply and submit an answer.

Managing Offers

One of the last stages of your sale process is managing incoming offers. Staying up to date on offers shows interested buyers what you will not accept and what you are willing to counter offer so they can submit their best and most competitive offers sooner, allowing you to maximize your sale price until you decide to accept an offer.

You will see offers on your listing under the photos and next to the overall listing details as they are submitted in chronological order.

To manage the offers on your listing, you will hover over the account settings dropdown and select “Manage Offers”.

From here, you can make a counter offer directly to a prospective buyer, decline an offer, or accept an offer. Any selection here will be displayed on the listing and accepting an offer will automatically close the listing, the buyer will automatically be charged our $499 buyer’s premium, and the listing will be closed and moved to our Past Listings page.
